1. MEMBERSHIP / RESERVED WEEKLY SPOT
(people with a regular weekly class time)
1.1 Pricing & Payment
What are the member rates?
For small group Clinical Pilates classes with a reserved weekly spot:
- Reserved weekly spot: $43 per class
- Concession (low income card / proof of low income): $41 per class
- Multiple classes rate (minimum 2 classes per week): $41 per class
To make payments easier, members can buy:
- 5‑class packs: $215*
- 10‑class packs: $430*
- 20‑class packs: $820 (ideal for those coming twice per week)
*Pack prices above are based on the $43 rate. If your per‑class rate is different (e.g. concession or multiple‑class rate), your pack price will be adjusted accordingly.
How do I buy a class pack?
You can purchase a pack:
- By bank transfer (preferred):
Transfer the pack amount to the account details on your invoice, then email [email protected] so we can apply the credit to your account and send you a credit notice. - By invoice (credit card):
Email [email protected] and we’ll email you an invoice from our accounting software. - At the studio (last resort):
You can pay via cash or card at the studio, but we prefer the other methods to minimise class disruption.
Do I still get invoiced weekly?
No. We will only invoice on Fridays for the upcoming week’s classes if our system shows you have a balance owing.
If you need an invoice or credit note at another time, please request it. We will invoice you in your preferred method when due, if you need to make any changes simply let us know and we can re-issue your invoice (i.e. change from a 5 pack to a 10 pack).
1.2 Booking, Cancelling & Make‑Up Classes (Members)
To keep our prices low for all, we are trialling running classes as a membership. We encourage you to think of this system like a gym membership: you pay each week to keep your regular spot, stay motivated and support consistent class numbers and instructor income.
Can I cancel or change my own classes online?
Yes. Your reminder email includes a link to:
- Cancel your class, and
- Schedule your make‑up class straight away.
- Please note the link won’t work if you cancel within 12 hours. In this case it is best to contact your instructor directly.
What is the cancellation policy?
- Cancel more than 12 hours before your class:
- We keep your regular weekly booking in place, and
- We issue a make‑up credit or move you to another time manually.
- Cancel within 12 hours of your class:
- The class is normally charged.
What if I’m sick or there’s an emergency and I can’t give 12 hours’ notice?
- We understand that illness, sick children and genuine emergencies happen.
- Please contact your instructor or reception as soon as you can.
- These will be handled case‑by‑case, at the instructor’s discretion.
- In many situations we can arrange a make‑up class or other suitable solution.
How do make‑up classes work (for members)?
If you miss a class and are eligible for a make‑up:
- A make‑up credit is added to your account.
- You can book another time that same week or save it and do an “intensive week” with a few sessions booked into one week. This can be great to double down on your Pilates learning and skills.
- Make‑up credits do not expire as long as you remain an ongoing paying Pilates client at MyoThrive.
Can I use my make‑up credit instead of paying for next week’s regular class?
No. The structure is:
- Your regular weekly class is paid each week (similar to a gym membership), and
- Make‑up credits are used for extra classes at other times.
This keeps your attendance consistent, supports instructor income continuity, and keeps our small classes viable.
1.3 Holidays, Holds & Extended Time Away (Members)
Can I pause my membership for holidays?
Yes. To keep things fair and sustainable:
Holiday & Planned Absence Allowance:
- You can place your Pilates membership on hold for up to 4 weeks per year (total) without payment, when you give at least 2 weeks’ advance notice.
- Our planned 2‑week Christmas/New Year closure will not be charged and does not count towards your 4 weeks.
- This allows for a couple of planned breaks (e.g. holidays) each year without payment and without needing to use make‑ups.
What if I’m away for longer than 4 weeks?
For longer breaks (e.g. extended travel, longer medical leave), we offer:
- Paid Hold:
- Pay 50% of your usual weekly fee to keep your regular class spot, if you would prefer not to accrue make‑up credits.
- No Hold / Release Your Spot:
- If you don’t wish to use a paid hold or accrue make‑up credits and are away longer than the set period (e.g. 4–6 weeks), your place may be released.
- You can rejoin from the waitlist when you return.
We’ll confirm the exact fee and process with you if you know you have extended time away coming up.
I can only attend three out of four weeks. Can I keep my regular time?
We strongly recommend at least one session per week for effective results.
If you have a regular, predictable absence (e.g. away every third Saturday):
- Option 1 – Stay a member (recommended):
- Keep your regular weekly spot, and
- Use make‑up classes at another time (trying a new instructor can be helpful to learn new things about your body and new fav exercises).
- Option 2 – Switch to casual:
- Attend casually and only pay for the weeks you attend at $46 per class (see Casual section below).
- Please note that as a casual, we cannot guarantee your ongoing favourite spot. As we get busy we will need to prioritise members to keep as much consistency to our class numbers as possible. This is to ensure we can keep class prices low for everyone for as long as possible.
1.4 Other Benefits
All Pilates Members also enjoy regular discounts and benefits
- 5% off Myotherapy treatments
- 5% off products including True Protein products, Metagenics products, myofascial release tools, heat packs and rehab strength tools
- Priority ordering of products – if we don’t have something in stock we will source & order it in for you (postage charges may apply)
- Special deals with other practitioners at front of house from time to time (Chiropractor, Beauty Therapist, Physiotherapist & Osteopath)
2. CASUAL ATTENDANCE
- Casual classes may suit you if you know you can’t attend make-ups or if you prefer to book last minute (ideal for busy mums, people with varying work commitments)
2.1 Pricing & Payment (Casual)
What are the casual rates?
- Casual Clinical Pilates: $46 per class
Casual attendees may also buy class packs at their applicable rate on request. Payment methods are the same:
- Preferred: bank transfer
- Or: pay via credit card invoice
- Or (last resort): pay by cash/card at the studio
You will only be invoiced if our system shows a balance owing; otherwise, please purchase packs in advance where possible.
2.2 Booking, Cancelling & Make‑Up Classes (Casual)
How do bookings work for casuals?
- You book into any available class time.
- No spot is held for you week‑to‑week, so availability may vary.
- You can check each week with your instructor what is available and book in week to week or book online at your convenience
Can I cancel or change my casual booking online?
Yes. Your reminder email contains a link to cancel or reschedule, subject to availability.
What is the cancellation policy for casuals?
- Cancel more than 12 hours before class:
- You can reschedule to another available class.
- Where class packs are used, a class credit will remain on your account.
- Cancel within 12 hours:
- The class is normally charged.
What if I’m sick or there’s an emergency?
- Please contact your instructor or reception as soon as you can.
- Emergencies and genuine illness will be considered case‑by‑case, at the instructor’s discretion.
Do casuals get make‑up credits?
- Casuals don’t have a reserved weekly spot, so “make‑ups” work simply as:
- Class credits attached to your pack (if applicable) which you can use to re‑book other available classes, provided you cancel with sufficient notice.
- There is no ongoing membership or held place to pause or protect.
3. CASH PAYMENTS & RECEIPTS
(applicable to both Members and Casuals)
Can I pay by cash?
Yes:
- Tell your instructor you’re paying by cash.
- They will enter the payment into Cliniko under your account.
Can I get a receipt for cash payments?
Yes:
- Please ask at the time of payment.
- We can email you a Cliniko credit note as your receipt.
4. WHY THIS SYSTEM?
Why are discounted rates and packs linked to regular weekly attendance (membership)?
Because this structure supports:
- Better health outcomes:
Regular, consistent attendance is essential for improving strength, mobility and pain. - Fairness in class numbers:
Holding a spot means someone else can’t use it, so a consistent payment structure is needed. This also helps us keep class prices low for as long as possible. - Instructor income continuity:
Stable class sizes help us value and retain quality instructors.
Many new customers, including those from other studios, understand the need to attend regularly to get results and to keep booking numbers steady. We aim to make expectations transparent and fair.
5. EXAMPLES
Example 1 – Member cancelling more than 12 hours before class
Mary attends weekly Clinical Pilates every Tuesday at 9:00 am. On Monday morning she realises she can’t attend and cancels through her booking link.
Because she cancelled more than 12 hours before:
- Her regular Tuesday 9:00 am booking remains in place.
- She receives a make‑up credit.
- She can book another available class at another time.
- As long as she remains an ongoing paying Pilates client, her make‑up credit doesn’t expire.
Example 2 – Member cancelling within 12 hours of class
John attends Clinical Pilates every Tuesday at 9:00 am. At 7:00 am Tuesday he wakes up unwell and lets us know he can’t attend.
Because he cancelled within 12 hours:
- The class would normally be charged.
- However, genuine illness and emergencies do happen.
- We will consider this case‑by‑case, and where appropriate, a make‑up class or other suitable solution may be offered.
Example 3 – Member planning extended leave with more than 2 weeks’ notice
Suzanne attends 2 classes per week (Monday and Thursday) and is travelling overseas for 6 weeks. She gives plenty of notice and confirms exact dates 2 weeks in advance.
- Suzanne will not be charged for 4 weeks of her holiday (her annual allowance).
- For the remaining 2 weeks, she chooses to pay the full fee and plans to do her make‑up classes on Saturdays when she returns, alongside her regular Monday and Thursday classes.
Example 4 – Member who does 2 classes per week, knows she can’t attend her second class once per month
Jodie attends 2 classes per week (Tuesday and Saturday). Due to work commitments, she knows in advance that she will be working one Saturday each month.
- Jodie emails admin with the days she will be away every time she gets her new roster
- She goes online and books her make-ups straight away for a Sunday to keep her regular 2 sessions per week going
Example 5 – Casual cancelling with 12 hours notice
Michael booked a casual spot when he was in past week, but 2 days out, something comes up and he’s unable to attend.
- Michael lets the admin team know straight away and he is taken out of the class
- He requests to skip that week and have the same time the following week if it’s free
- Our team does not charge for the missed class, his pack simply rolls over
- The spot he loves, is free the following week, yay! We add him to the system as requested
6. FEEDBACK & ONGOING REFINEMENT
Is anything set in stone?
No. We have clear boundaries and processes to protect customers, instructors and the business, but:
- We’re open to feedback.
- We may refine policies as we see what works best in real life.
- We want the system to work for the majority, not just look good on paper.
Our goals are to:
- Help you get great clinical and wellbeing outcomes.
- Ensure our instructors feel valued with consistent classes.
- Keep MyoThrive Pilates & Rehab Gym sustainable long‑term.
- Maintain affordable Clinical Pilates prices for members for as long as possible.
If you have ideas or something isn’t working for you, please let us know.
