Daniel

Myotherapist Daniel (Danny) has a passion for keeping you moving and doing the things you love!Clinical Myotherapy

Daniel’s goal for you in treatment is to have you walking away feeling you have a deeper understanding of what may be the underlying cause of your pain, that you feel improvement in either range of movement, pain reduction or both and that you understand what to expect after treatment. This is called an evidence-based and customer-centred approach.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy) and a  Bachelor of Exercise Sports Science / Business. Why the double degree Daniel? I grew up playing soccer from 4 years old. Like many other athletes I ended up with my fair share of injuries. I tried going to many people to help and eventually found a great Myotherapist who was able to help me. My goal post secondary school was to help people in a similar way. My Exercise Science qualifications came first, but after I graduated and started working in the field I quickly realised that my true passion was helping customers in a more hands on approach like my old Myotherapist had helped me. So back to the books for another degree! I am finding the combo of the two degrees really helpful to treat holistically in getting to the root cause of the pain and to help strengthen so the pain doesn’t shift somewhere else or continue to come back.

Daniel has amazing hands on skills and loves using LEO our friendly shockwave therapy unit. He can help with neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain and lower limb pain (tendinopathy, arthritis, plantar fasciitis, tight ITB). Or maybe you just need a good sports or remedial massage!

Daniel uses a full-body approach as a Myotherapist that takes lifestyle, fitness and overall health into consideration. This helps identify effective treatment strategies for short-term and long-term health. These strategies include massage therapy, dry needling, myofascial cupping, exercise and movement therapy, activity and lifestyle modifications and of course, where indicated, shockwave therapy.

What do you like to do in your downtime? Outside of work I enjoy playing or watching sport, eating or cooking (big foodie) or down by the beach (my happy / recharge place).
