What are the treatment options?

One of the best things about Myotherapy is our amazing tool kit. This means when it comes to a fear of needles, we don’t use them. When it comes to learning that cupping really works for you, we use more of that. Different bodies and even different areas of the same body respond differently to different techniques, that’s why we have such an advantage in helping you become pain free as we have multiple things we can try to get the result of pain free, restriction free movement!

Dry Needling

Dry Needling

Dry Needling, also known as myofascial acupuncture, is where we use an acupuncture style needle to deactivate a trigger point in the muscle. It creates an immediate response from the nervous system that overrides the pain cycle.
Our Myotherapists have received extensive university level training in dry needling so you can rest assured we are the best in the business at myofascial acupuncture!
Pain & Injury Massage

Pain & Injury Massage

We may use varying techniques depending on the persons comfort levels, what's worked for them in the past and what condition is presenting in front of us. We may utilise trigger point therapy which is where we find and hold a trigger point until it eases off, we might use massage strokes with oil or cream until a whole band of muscle relaxes or combine the pressure with movement of some kind.

Movement Therapy

Movement Therapy

Movement therapy might be used to get you out of pain, it might be used to keep you out of pain, to retrain something, to strengthen something or to stretch something. All our customers get a remedy routine with only the most important exercises to help on your journey towards pain and restriction free movement.

Other Modalities

Other Modalities

Other modalities include taping techniques used to offload, restrict or retrain an area, myofascial cupping to release more superficial body tissues, mobilisation of joint and muscle, heat and cold techniques such as ice massage and pain education which is particularly helpful when explained in the right way.
